INCI name: Melissa Officinalis Leaf Oil
Color and aroma: The Melissa oil is yellow, bitter, pungent, refreshing with a lemon floral hue.
Melissa oil is combined with: citrus, lavender, oregano, juniper, jasmine, ylang-ylang, rosemary, basil, noble laurel, rose, incense, rosewood, neroli, ginger, pelargonium, chamomile.

Cosmetic and dermatological action of Melissa oil
Applications and uses

Dosage
- Aroma lamp - 3-5 drops per 15 m2
- Cold inhalation (locket, scarf) - 2-3 drops
- Bathtub - 3-5 drops of emulsifier (rock or sea salt, honey, milk)
- Massage - 3-4 drops per 10 ml of base oil
- Compresses - 3-5 drops per 10 ml of base oil
- Application - 2-4 drops of 5 ml of base oil
- In other cosmetics - 3-4 drops per 10 ml of the base (cream, shampoo, mask, conditioner, etc.)

Toxicity, precautions
I.F.R.A. - There are no restrictions on use in perfumery and cosmetics.
Melissa oil is not toxic, but it is quite active and aggressive and is never used in its purest form, except for point applications in animal and insect bites, and a tolerance test must be performed before use. When applied to the skin, a burning sensation or slight tingling sensation immediately occurs, often accompanied by redness (the reaction should not last more than 2 minutes).
When working where the voice is important, uterine oil causes laryngitis and numbness, and sometimes obsessive sweating.
After two weeks of therapy, a long break should be made!
In no case should it be used for warm inhalation!
Do not use by pregnant women during the first 5 months of pregnancy!
Use with caution from people with low blood pressure!
Avoid contact with eyes!
